I am Bianca Gschlecht, a freelance illustrator based in Konstanz, specializing in lifestyle illustration.
In my work, I capture everyday moments and places, transforming them into illustrations that evoke a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. Recurring themes and motifs include travel, creative hobbies, architecture, interiors, furniture, food, landscapes, birds and flowers, mental health, and diversity.

My clients appreciate the joy, excitement and ease I bring into the creative process. I’ve been told that I got the brief immediately and executed it very well right from the start.
A client for a big screen-printed shop campaign told me they only had to go through 3 test prints (instead of the usual 5-6), which made their work a lot easier, faster and even saved them money.
My clients also appreciate my experience in print. Working as a graphic designer, I created layouts and printable files for a wide range of projects, including big scale and complex projects, like a seamless pattern for a German-wide shop window compaign or illustrations for the company van of an ubholstery and interior planning company.

My thoughts on AI
I try to avoid AI whenever I can and I especially don’t use it in any part of my process or illustrations. If you appreciate designs made by humans for humans, I am definitely the right fit for your project :)

I will never stop talking about my dog Karlo, cats, flowers, birds, or the colour orange.
I collect creative hobbies, art supplies, vintage books, birds and flowers I identify with apps on my phone, fun interior accessories and special clothes, like my absolutely gorgeous pair of Marimekko pants that I bought when I visited Finland in 2023.
I take pictures everywhere I go and use them as inspiration for new illustrations.
As a kid I had many ideas what I wanted to do as a career – florist, actress, biologist. And if I look at that list, in a sense I get to do all of the above in my work as an illustrator now. I get to design beautiful things, dive into research for new projects and I get to create something that people relate to and makes them happy.
