three packaging boxes for coloured pencil sketching kit with handdrawn abstract flower patterns in light blue, orange and green
Hand-drawn coloured-pencil-sketching-kit

Why I created this project
For the past years I have almost exclusively created digitally. But with the rise of AI, I find myself being drawn to more unique, hand-made things and illustrations. Discovering my joy for coloured pencils and their texture, I experimented drawing floral elements and shapes in new ways.
I merged this with my love for beautiful home goods and created a coloured-pencil-sketching-kit, consisting of three boxes, that are not only functional, but also add a unique touch to my home decor.

How my illustrations where used
I drew the flower design, mixing shape and line work, directly onto the foldable boxes. To make the individual boxes more unique while keeping a strong resemblance between the three, I created variations. On the biggest box there’s a set of three flowers, on the smallest I used differently shaped single flowers on each and for the third box I stretched the flowers over the edges.

The materials & techniques I used
I used Adobe illustrator to create my three custom paper box shapes, my Silhouette Cameo 4 cutting plotter to score and cut the paper (Canson white mixed media paper 200g/m2 and Caran d’Ache Luminance 6901 coloured pencils to hand-draw the flower designs on each box.
