Editorial illustration for NUN Magazin Issue #7
This is an illustration to go along a positive polemic text piece about reflector stripes by Daniel van der Vring, published in the 7th issue of the NUN Magazin.
My creative Approach
With my illustration I wanted to flip the image of reflector stripes from an (oftentimes unwanted) necessity to a fashionable accessory or detail on clothes that brings joy.
My process uncluded sketches and two colored versions of the illustration. One showing the act of sewing the stripes onto one’s clothes and the other showing a shopping scene with reflector stripes on different pieces of clothing and the shopping bag.
